Strategic EMR Partners

Early in 2009 HEALTHeLINK™ completed an EMR selection process with the intent of identifying a set of vendors and products that would meet the needs of the provider community in western New York. The beginning list was created from CCHIT certified vendors (required to achieve meaningful use) and a Request for Information (RFI) was sent to each of these vendors. Specific criteria were established to narrow the vendor field who could participate in our program. These criteria included functionality, usability, technical platform, vendor performance, cost, willingness to work with HEALTHeLINK™ to achieve interoperability as well as support clinical transformation for four identified disease states. While HEALTHeLINK™ is committed to working with all EMR vendors that provide services to physician practices in our service area, the intent is to build deep relationships with a core set of vendors that share our community vision and have the resources to meet our demands.

The following EMR vendors are strategic partners in the WNY health information exchange and participate in the following ways:

Pre negotiated preferred pricing to WNY providers
Actively working with HEALTHeLINK™ to integrate their products in the HEALTHeLINK™ exchange to enable the delivery of results and interoperability which automate the referral process between providers employing the select EMR vendors
Participation in Learning Lab open house events
Utilize the Learning Lab with providers one-on-one to facilitate the evaluation of EMR solutions for the practice
