WESTERN NEW YORK IMMEDIATE CARE JOINS HEALTHeLINK

BUFFALO, NEW YORK – HEALTHeLINK, Western New York’s clinical information exchange, announced that Western New York Immediate Care and its urgent care centers in Amherst, Cheektowaga, Orchard Park and Williamsville are now participating in the exchange. With patient consent, physicians at Western New York Immediate Care now have immediate access through HEALTHeLINK to patient data, lab and radiology reports and prescription histories to help provide better patient care.
“By joining with WNY Immediate Care, physicians at these urgent care centers will be able to obtain their patients’ medical histories and other important health information during off hours, when his or her primary care physician is not immediately available,” said Daniel Porreca, HEALTHeLINK’s executive director. “Immediate access to this information can help physicians better treat their patients, which can be critical in an urgent situation.”
