LEROY HEALTH CARE PRACTICES JOIN HEALTHeLINK
BUFFALO, NEW YORK – HEALTHeLINK is pleased to announce that Deniz Pirincci, MD and LeRoy Village Green RHCF, Inc., a residential care facility, recently joined Western New York’s clinical information exchange. HEALTHeLINK is a collaborative effort among various health care organizations in Western New York for health care providers to share medical and clinical information through a secure electronic information exchange. Patients allow physicians and other authorized clinical professionals to access their health information by signing a consent form. Through HEALTHeLINK, a physician has immediate access to patient data, including lab and radiology reports, prescription histories, transcribed reports and more.
“HEALTHeLINK is literally about saving lives and saving money,” Daniel Porreca, executive director of HEALTHeLINK said. “The more physicians and health care practices that participate in the clinical information exchange, the more we can enhance the quality of health care in Western New York. In addition, a clinical information exchange assists physicians in immediately obtaining patient health information that can be critical for decisions relative to patient treatment - especially in a life or death situation.”
