JAMESTOWN & MAYVILLE HEALTH CARE PRACTICES JOIN HEALTHELINK

BUFFALO, NY- HEALTHeLINK is pleased to announce that Family Health Medical Services of Mayville and Lutheran Social Services of Jamestown are the latest practices to join the HEALTHeLINK clinical information exchange.
HEALTHeLINK was developed by various health care organizations in Western New York as a way to share important clinical and healthcare information through a safe electronic channel. Patients allow their physicians and other authorized clinical professionals to access their health information by signing a consent form. By using HEALTHeLINK, a physician has immediate access to patient data, including lab and radiology reports, prescription histories, transcribed reports and more.
“A practice’s decision to join HEALTHeLINK can make a difference when it comes to saving lives” said Daniel Porreca, executive director, HEALTHeLINK.  “Having immediate access to a patient’s medical history is important for physicians to provide informed care and more efficient treatment, especially during an emergency situation.”
For more information on HEALTHeLINK and the patient consent process, visit www.wnyhealthelink.com or call 716-206-0993 ext. 311.
